This afternoon, September 12, you will be treated to more than the regular Friday evening jam-packed commute. That’s because sports fans are expected in droves in downtown Seattle for baseball and fútbol.
The Seattle Mariners will be playing the Oakland A’s at Safeco Field, with a 7:10 p.m. start. A few minutes later, the Sounders FC will square off against Real Salt Lake FC at CenturyLink Field, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Washington State Ferries has issued an alert about the potential crowds, encouraging passengers to include extra time in their travel plans and to pre-purchase return ferry tickets online or at a kiosk. Bring along a good book.
